This headband and belt set is donated by Novel Threads.

This headband and belt set is perfect for any girls' wardrobe. The one side of fabric features a yellow background with an array of different colored circles and free flowing shapes. The other side is purple with white vines throughout.

For Child: The headband is 1" in width and is sized for ages 5 through 8. The belt is 1 1/2" in width and comes in two sizes: medium for ages 5 & 6 or large for ages 7 & 8. Please specify the size you would like when you place your bid. The belt is tied in front with a knot. Both items are washable and the belt has a stabilizer for extra durability.

each auction item will take approximately two days for bidding. i will list each item individually. so, for instance, we'll begin with an apron that will be open for bidding from monday, october 6th until the end of tuesday, october 7th. on wednesday, the next item would be listed for bidding--and so forth.

please remember to list your bidding offer in the comment section below the post. check back at the time listed for closing to see if you won. the winner will then have 48 hours to deposit the amount bid for through carol's paypal account or through their washington mutual account. within that same 48 hours, said winning bidder will email me a copy of the deposit receipt. then i'll put the winner in touch with the donator in order to ship the won item.

Don't forget to include an email address for contact, even if you bid "anonymously", be sure to include your contact info within the comment msg.

While we have a few items for people to bid on, we still need more items to be donated.

WHAT KIND OF ITEMS ARE DONATED?
Any new or gently used item that you would consider giving as a gift to a loved one. Examples include, but are not limited to: quilts, aprons, hand-made crafts, art, stationery, scarves, books, linens, jewelry, some prepackaged food items like coffee and chocolate, etc.

HOW DONATING WORKS
Once you've chosen something for participants to bid on, take a picture of the item(s). You keep the donation at this point. After emailing me, simp0491(at)gmail(dot)com, the pictures, I will post them on the auction site for people to bid on. The winning bidder will email me with a receipt of their payment to Carol's medical fund (either through PayPal or Washington Mutual). Then I will put the bidder in contact with you so you may ship your donation to him/her.

HOW DO I KNOW WHERE PROCEEDS GO?
I will supply you with a receipt showing that funds from your donation went directly to Carol's account (any sensitive information will be blacked out from the receipt to protect the buyer).

IS MY DONATION TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
Yes! I will provide you with a donation receipt you may keep for tax purposes. You may include the value of your donation, as well as cost of shipping to the buyer.

SILENT AUCTION SERIES

Carol Decker lost her eye sight and had her left arm and both legs amputated due to post-natal complications. Her medical bills are roughly 2 million and though the Deckers have insurance, out-of-pocket expenses are astronomical. While insurance might cover Carol's prosthetics, they WILL NOT cover the physical therapy she needs that will amount to an estimate of $80,000.

In the near future, this site will host a series of silent auctions of which ALL PROCEEDS will go directly to Carol. Participants may pay through a medical account Carol has set up through PayPal. Or people may donate through a Washington Mutual Bank Account.

For Washington Mutual:
If you want to contribute and have access to a WA MU branch you can go into the branch and deposit using the " Benevolent account set up at WAMU and it is under Scott C Decker FBO Carol J Decker and Safiya Decker"account. If you do not have access to a WA Mu branch you can go to any bank and have funds transferred from your account to this WA MU account, ask for a receipt for any deposits made. If you would like to send a check, we suggest that you might want to send directly to the WA MU branch where the account has been set up.
